Since September 11th, most of the parcels that I have ordered on Ebay that have come from seller's in the US to me in Canada have been opened and inspected by Customs.
I have no problem with this, EXCEPT, lately alot of the stuff that I sell is getting to my customers broken.
Insurance is not an option since they only insure large or heavy objects and never against breakage on ceramics.
As a result, I have alot of unhappy people.
I.E. Creamer and sugar shipped in bubble wrasp in a box in bubble wrap in another box. Customer received it broken. It was inspected by customs and all bubble wrap removed from inner box.
What would you do?
I offered customer an exchange if he sent me back everything I could exchange it with my supplier but they weren't happy and negged.

you can write to us customs office and complain the way they handle your shipment.
i dont have the addresses but you can find out via their website or from the shipper.
they are usually very careful in handling items they inspect, your problem may be with the usps .

i just have a set of ceramic sugar and creamer doubleboxed with bubble wrap etc arrived broken,it was in original carton.
it was shipped via usps.they handle so much volume, given the holiday rush and the anthrax scare, damage does happen more often during this hard time.
