I just don't have any luck.

first I was a cyberrebate victim.

Well I didn't think I was doing anything wrong when I bought a legit computer from a seller with almost no neg feedback.

Computer arrives DOA. I contact seller, he tells me to send it back and he'll refund me. Did that with UPS. Today I was going to mail him to see what was taking so long, and lo and behold my heart sank when I saw "unregistered user" I am like "Great" I have only bought 3 things on ebay in my life, I am usually the seller

Anyway, I used my debit card, so I don't know if there is any hope there. Secondly, it is over 30 days. I did file with ebay, but do you think I have any chance of seeing a penny. Item was 160.00.

thanks.

My Master Debit card allows 60 days for a charge back. The faster you act the better off you are.

A simple letter noting the charge on your statement is all it takes.

Never hurts to try.

Jim

P.S. DOA = Dead On Arrival

does debit card work just as credit card when it comes to chargeback??
is this a business with a storefront??
if it has gone into liquidation phase, you are in line after secured lenders.
you may as well file for ebay insurance,if he is no longer registered, then he could have taken many folks to raise cash.
i have a question on no longer registerd user-there is a guy who bidded on many expensive buddha items and he bot an item from me off ebay and never send payment.i noticed he is still bidding aggressively and then i notice some sellers posted negative feedback on him not paying and he came down hard on these feedbacks saying mail is slow, payment has been sent.
eventuall he is no longer registered, but he has only 2 neg feedback ,so what makes ebay suspend him??it cannot be the feedback??
rubber check??????????

stopwhining: He probably got some Non-Paying Bidder Alerts filed against him. There is a certain number that will get you suspended. After they are suspended you can't leave feedback until the suspension is over. That's why if you're going to neg someone for non-payment, do it before you file the NPB.
