has anyone have any problems with new ebay guidelines such as:
* Not be about to post about your company on the item description
* Not be able to post credit card icons on the item description
* Not be able to offer choices for products for example if you sell products with different colors, you cant specify the different color options or ebay will revert your listing
I think there are more new guidelines that totally messed up my auction listings, now i have to go thru them and re-do them again and make sure there are no links to my site or to paypal.
My main concern is how i can offer color options for my products if ebay won't allow it. they say it confuses the buyers and want me to list the item in each individual colors which i know is totally messed up because i will end up paying a listing fee for every color which i know is what they want!

Offering choices makes it a choice auction and that is NOT a new guideline. It has been against the rules for as long as I know.
HOWEVER, if you can call it customizing, that is not against the rules. Say this is a craft type item that you paint you can say FREE customizing of color.

thanks for the input... that's exactly what it is... i make the products and customize it in the choice of color that the customer wants... i have been posting the option thing for a while (not calling it customizing) and haven't gotten any complaints from ebay about colors until recently. i will do this.

Someone had to have turned you in.
Be very careful with your words. Do not use the word choice at all.
Say something like "Since I personally make the products I will customize to you preference of color....
Do some searches and see if you can find other customizing auctions and see how they would it. Not that their words would pass ebay if they were turned it.
If you received a warning from ebay, you might email them back and explain that it is customizing and ask them how you can word it to fall into their guidelines. If/when they respond...save the email incase they later come back and say no.

As far as choices, credit cards, and even other products and even your own sales web site, just put it all in your email to the winning(s) buyers.
It is not SPAM because you have an established business contact with the buyer. BUT, don't make the extras look like Spam, and don't start the email off with other offers.
I have my sales site link, other items, choices, upgrades, discounts such as FREE shipping if a second item is purchased, all at the end of my emails.
40% of my sales are generated by the "extra" information on my emails.
