Have I been out of touch with the news? Has there been a mass escape from the Ideal Loon Exhibit, or has the government declared this to be National Irrational Week? This week we have received emails from 4 customers, whom I will politely refer to as Ms I.M. Nutts #1, 2, 3 and 4. #1 claims that pieces which we accurately described arrived with all kinds of flaws. Our pics do not show any damage. We think she is trying to substitute pieces that she already owns, send them back for a refund, and keep the good pieces for free. #2 Claims that we never contacted her, even though we have proof that we have been trying to collect from her 25 days after end-of-auction. Our emails had been ignored until we gave her the option of paying or received a non-paying bidder alert from eBay. Then she said she had sent the check the night before! We have yet to receive it. #3 claims there is damage on a piece that has been in my family for decades. Again, our pics show no damage. Wait...there's more. The frosting on the cake is #4, who claims that his check to us cleared 4 days before we even received it, and when the $%*(&%$#@ are we going to ship? We had proof of receipt, proof of clearance and proof of shipping the day before her nut email. She writes back saying that she is too busy to open her emails.
If you check our feedback, as of this writing we have over 1050 positives and no negs.
I hope this spate of lunacy is only temporary, and not a virus spread by Osama bin Laden. We suddenly are hearing from people who have bought silver that is over a century old, and they complain that it has been used before! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGG!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent a little.

I believe I have had some escapees myself.

#1. A bidder who paid over 3000.00 for a piece of furniture. Shipped via freight, but carrier won't deliver after hours or on weekends and buyer won't take time off to wait for trucker. Finally, shipper makes a concession and says they will deliver for an extra $50.00 and the buyer is fighting that. Meanwhile this expensive item is sitting in a warehouse 20 miles away from this buyer.

#2. An email from a buyer which says - "check is in the mail, get the item ready and let me know when you send it, so I can keep an eye out on it." Auction ended 15 days ago and I just got this message today. My reply was "are you telling me you just put the check in the mail today for an auction that ended 15 days ago?". No reply yet.

#3. An email from a buyer whose check I received on Friday, wanting to know where his package is?

#4. An email from a buyer indicating her package was damaged. It was delivered three months ago. She just now opened it.

And the list goes on and on.
