I have an auction where - just today - the high bidder is someone with zero (0) feedback and a 1/2000 ID.

There were several hours to go (the auction closes tonight - Friday night) and I normally send an e-mail just to verify the user's e-mail account.

This one bounced back: addressee unknown.

I got his contact information from eBay - left one voice mail; left one message with "Dad" and still (after 3+ hours) no response.

SO - Do I cancel his bid, and let the previous high-bidder get back in the game? I'm really afraid that with no way to contact this guy, I'm going to be filing for NPB.

There's 2 hours left to the auction.

I'm open for suggestions.

I would cancel the bid and block the bidder. This doesn't sound like a smooth transaction waiting to happen.

Situation resolved itself.

Former high-bidder got some skin in the game!

Whew!
