I have no idea what this is? Can anyone help me? It stands about 12" tall. DH said it looks like one of those things they used to spin thread on. There is a round metal piece riveted inside the hole on the bottom.Thanks! Barbara<br />

Never mind. Just found one on eBay. It's an Amish spool thread.
