I have attempted to list a number of older books that relate to WWII and the Korean War. Many of these are older out of print paperbacks and do not have an ISBN number.
When entering the title or if the book has an ISBN the site comes up saying this book not available and I am then unable to list the book. Am I to assume that these books can not be listed at Half.com or is there a step I should follow to get them listed? If I can not list them at Half.com can anyone recommend another site?

If you think they are of real interest, I'd eBay some in the appropriate war memorabilia sections where people who like that sort of thing might want 'em.
You might want to check on the value of the books first by looking for them at addall or abe. What you have might be considered of little value or quite a bit more. Some old stuff does quite well.

Here's what you can do with those old titles on Half. Try searching for them (using the regular search for buyers) by title or keyword. Sometimes the same edition will come up under a different ISBN. Other times you can find a different edition that is similar. I have seen sellers list under a different edition, putting the differences in a note. That's stretching the Half rules a bit, but it's very common.
If you can't do these things, it's SOL. And that's too bad, because you probably have some things people want.

Good advice for you from Pelorus! Frequently the hardback won't come up for me, but there's a paperback listed with that isbn. So I list mine and note that it's hardback--or vice versa on occasion. It is frustrating, though, to have a book that has an ISBN and not be able to find it under the number OR under the title or author. Half.com is behind in their data bank occasionally.
