I placed an order for Oprah's new book on half.com as soon as it was announced. I got my order received message. The book was $7.41. 2 hours later I get a message my order was cancelled, seller says it was no longer available for sale. Guess what, it has been relisted at $10.65 from the same seller. It looks like all of the prices were increased. The book sells new at stores for $13.00. Where is the half!?! and after I pay postage and wait 2 weeks for media mail, I could have bought it at my local book seller. I don't mind people trying to make a buck, but the book was already sold!! Bye, bye nothalf.com. Meredith

What a rotten deal! I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Try not to judge all of half.com by that seller, though. Most are honest and would be happy to sell their books to you! I only recently started selling on half.com but while browsing the site I noticed there are lots of good deals to be had -- perhaps not on just-released books, though. I've both bought and sold there happily... don't give up yet!
