Hi All...I've got a First Edition/Limited Edition book I'd like to find some info on. There's a book just like it currently on eBay with an opening bid of $695. I'm curious as to whether or not that's a realistic figure or "pie in the sky". Does anyone have a link or e-mail address where I could get some info? Thanks for help...

Here's a good starting point for resources:

http://www.trussel.com/f_books.htm

Also, just go to bn.com, do a search and then look at out of print books to see if there is one there - the price will be too high, but you will get an idea.

Thanks bestattic, what an awesome book site!
I was wondering if some of the regular posters here would consider making some kind of an FAQ for common questions, much like the newsgroups on the UseNet have for that purpose. Since the moderators have been exiled to the moon or wherever we will have to make the forum run as smooth as possible by ourselves.
Personally I think the non-AW Support forums may be close to being closed down by AW. The recent deletetion of the search AW Message Center function brings that event that much closer to reality.

What a great link! When I was selling books a couple of years ago, I had to go to at least four sites for that much information.

I'm planning to start selling again so I really appreciate it!

I'm glad you like the site and the only credit I can take is for bookmarking it when another AW'er posted, some time back. It's a good one.

..."Also, just go to bn.com..."

Bestattic gave a great link and followed up with less than great second choice.(LOL)

B&N is not a good place to research prices because most of their listings are from other booksellers and the price is marked up considerably.

A couple other good venues to check out are ABEbooks & Addall. Both are listing services for on-line booksellers so one can usually get a decent price range depending on condition.

edited to ask...What book is it??? (I might be jealous)

Hi Rob...The book is "Uncle Scrooge McDuck"...published in 1981 in honor of Carl Barks' 80th birthday. It has the signed print and is in pristine condition. A nifty book. I checked out the web site that stattic gave..similiar books go (depending on various factor) for $500 to over $1200 so that was good news. If you're "jealous", I'll be putting it on auction in a couple of weeks...
