I have a Mavica FD-73, always worked good, but lately I've noticed the pictures are very 'grainy'. Can't seem to get a nice clear picture any more. Any ideas what might be the cause of this? Know someone else who is having this same problem with their mavica.
I don't have a manual for this camera.

I suggest strongly that you get a manual from Sony or somewhere! I just learned after nearly a year, by reading my manual, how to turn off my flash and my pictures are 100% better. Now for the next revelation, when I'm ready to learn again . . . .

You could try changeing your camera setting to take a larger picture size. I know you get less pictures per disk but it makes a big difference in close ups. Go to file-then-image size. I take most of my close ups at 1024 X 760. Much clearer at that size than than the 640 X 480. I have the Mavica FD-87 (My Christmas Present)
