I've got a very large (44 inches x 61 inches) lobby display for the movie "Clueless." I was putting it on auction and noticed a category called "Standees". Anyone out there know what that is? How is it different than "Lobby Cards" or is there any relation? Just curious...I know folks out there say that specific categories aren't that important as people search for titles but would like to list this item properly. Thanks for any info/help.

Standees are the cardboard "standup" displays in the store. like Elvira holding up beer, or a NASCAR driver holding chips or something.
For movies, you may find a cardboard standup of a character. Or a standup display of dinosaurs or a disney scene. See them a lot a video stores.

Assuming that what you have is cardboard and stands up on its own, that's a standee.
The size alone disqualifies it as a lobby card. Lobby cards are small posters, about 15" by 22" or so (I don't know the exact specs off the top of my head, but that's close). They were displayed in theater lobbies before the days of the cineplexes. Lobby cards are still issued for some new releases, although I never see them displayed in theaters. The only time I see them is when somebody's selling them - it's like they're still produced but just go straight to the collector's market and aren't used for their original purpose anymore.
