I shipped an item to unconfirmed PayPal address. I did delivery conf. and insured the item. Buyer acknowledges receipt of the item but doesn't like the item. I feel like it was more than accurately described in the auction description, and that the sale should be final at this point. If he complains to PayPal will they remove the funds from my account and refund his money?
Thanks.

I do not believe buyers remorse is a reason for chargeback but I could be wrong.

Basically...you LOSE!
This is always a gamble -- the "unconfirmed address" baloney!
You are 100% NOT COVERED by PP's "Seller Protection Program"
I'd refund upon return!

You better keep the e-mail he sent to you along with the full IP address just to prove it was him that wrote. It maybe your only recourse in not getting double wammied. I wish paypal would make everyone confirmed to use the system. Right now, there are too many loop holes the sellers must deal with their. There is no protection for us sellers through them.
Good luck in your endevor,

You are risking losing the item and the money by not trying to accept a return.
Cut your potential losses and state that you will refund upon return of the item.
Then file for FVF refund and repost.
It is a lengthy tedious process, but hopefully you can relist the item and not be out too much.
I do not know what item you shipped, but be wary of someone returning a similar yet defective item in place of your good working item. It happens more often than some sellers would like to admit.
What is the feedback of the buyer? How long have they been on eBay? Any danger signals in their bidding or selling habits?
All of this info could add into your final way of handling the buyer. If he has really good feedback from others, perhaps there was a legit issue. If he is new, or has a history of bad transactions, look out.
In the future set your paypal preferences to prompt you for action for an unconfirmed address and then check the bidder/buyer out a little. These ideas will not guarantee you trouble free transactions, only help to minimize them.

How did he pay via Paypal? With Credit Card? Instant? Paypal funds?
I think only with a credit card payment will Paypal do a chargeback and steal your money. Otherwise, if you show proof of delivery, you're ok. And since you shipped what he wanted, he has no grounds with PayPal either.

One note on IP address' they are pretty much useless unless you use a dial up modem.
I can change my IP address whith a click of the renew button.
I'd refund upon return and save the hassel.

Hi,
We would refuse the buyer's claim (if they filed a BUYER COMPLAINT), as it is an apparent issue of merchandise quality.
Seller Protection from chargebacks (if the buyer paid from a charge card) does NOT apply if the chargeback is for merchandise quality. Seller Protection only applies to claims of non-delivery/credit card fraud, and it does require shipping to the confirmed address.
It may be in your best interests to work on a refund with the user.

i'm sure i said this before in here somewhere. unconfirmed addresses don't spook me. my delivery address, a po box, is not my confirmed (billing) address, so when a paypal payer has that unconfirmed label it is not a red flag for me. it isn't for those who i paid via paypal either. fwiw.

Do you want to make this problem go away? Then you know what to do. Give him his money back. It's called customer satisfaction and in the long run it is the only thing that always works.

I read elsewhere that someone got a charge back two weeks after the buyer received the merchandise. Isn't there a time limit on this?

Im a verified seller with a premier account established since early 2001. I tried several times to have my address confirmed thru paypal, * s i g h * but to my great disappointment and disbelief both credit cards with the same address were rejected, no success so far.
Unconfirmed but verified,
