I hope it increases traffic and sales. I'd pay the nickel anyway just to get items moved faster.
But as a buyer, I don't really pay attention to buy it now unless the BIN price is the same as the opening bid. But I also use snipe software, so I may be atypical of buyers in general.

I also use the BIN often. This is what I like about it. I put an auction on and didn't do BIN, a buyer came to me and wanted to purchase that item right away. I went into the relist and you can add the BIN after you launch the auction. I did, the buyer bought and everyone was happy. I didn't realize that you could add the BIN after the auction was listed. Yes, ebay still got the 5cents for the BIN. Love that feature.

mssells, according to the announcement board, ebay plans to introduce this feature within the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, this feature is going to cause some frustration. The BIN search page is based on eBay's indexing of such pages, which can run hours (sometimes many hours) late.
In other words, an item can receive a bid on it (removing the BIN option) and still appear under the BIN tab for quite a while.
You should be aware of this, sellers, as it's likely to cause an irate email or two.

I think I will like this search feature.......I listed new items Sunday night and I'm still using the BIN on several of my items......3 items sold with BIN by the next day....LOVE IT!
