There was a post here earlier about it.
AW wiped it off pretty fast. It is against the rules to talk about AW competitors here.

Is there a catch, other fee? Did any of you sign up yet?
How can they do it free?

My guess is that it is FREE only until they build it up.
Most things are there but you can not do them in a batch yet. If you want to add a counter to your auctions you must do it one auction at a time. BUT they are working on it. I like the detail report with the counters. You can see what hour your items get looked at.

Yes, nobody can give it away for free forever. I use a similar marketing tactic to get people to try my services: Free for a certain period of time, then it goes to fee based (I am upfront about this, I don't advertise as just free) - Free works pretty well, but a lot of people will leave when the fees start kicking in...

According to the customer service rep., they will provide the service free for at least a few months. Their plans when they do charge a fee is to charge no more then $5 flat per month.
Looks promising.

You get what you pay for.
I have been trying for an hour to load some photos to them and keep getting this message.
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'
Script timed out
/net/sdImage/upload.asp
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

You get what you pay for. If you want consistent and reliable service, you need to pay for service.
AuctionWatch has been very reliable and their images load incredibly fast. Except for that few hours of outage last week, I have never seen a problem with their service.
I personally use fatcow for image hosting, but pair.com and dotster.com were up there as a consideration.
