There is really no way to prevent this. There is a JavaScript available like this, but eBay will not let you put JavaScript in the description:

<!-- hide script from old browsers

//** Disables the right-click button and menu-key on keyboard
//** Works for MSIE and Netscape

function RightClick(evnt) {
document.oncontextmenu = function () { return false; };
if (navigator.appName.toUpperCase().match(/NETSCAPE/) != null) {
if (evnt.which >= 2){ return false; }
}
}
document.onmousedown=RightClick;
if (document.layers) window.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);
window.onmousedown=RightClick;

//-->

If they're smart enough to steal your pictures they're probably smart enough to just save file and get the picture anyway. They can also look at your script and find the picture link to use your hosting too.

Question: Ebay allows one free picture. Therefore, if someone went into a particular auction with an IPIX picture and steals it..is the seller who originally added the free picture going to be charged for additional pictures if the person who stole it uses it in his auction?

They also have JavaScript to disable the "View Source" option in Internet Explorer, but since everything is saved to your cache (Temporary Internet Files), it is pretty easy to find the picture from there.

Charging for extra pictures is done on the listing and using eBay's built-in link. If you use HTML you can link the picture in the text of your description - as well as a lot ofother stuff. I have one auction with 5 pictures and didn't have to pay eBay for the extra pictures.

Anyone who is paying eBay for extra pictures doesn't know how to place pics in their item description "yet".

the best hing is to add your name or auction id to the picture
the simplist way is to print a small card somthing like " a another great item from Francesla" and place it next to each item you photograph , that way anyone putting your picture in their ad will have your ebay id in the picure also

disabling right click only deters the rankest amatuer
spock here......

Using Flash is probably the best way to prevent picture stealing.
