I have been burned by paypal way too many times! I was wondering who you use now, if you hate paypal as I know many of you do!

Any services out there just a reliable and easy to use for most people?

Thanks for your time!

Ebays payment service works for me very well they auto deposit right into your checking account they dont hold your money till you ask for it each ayment shows up in your account within 3 working business days.

and if a company being FDIC insured some how makes you feel safe ebay payment service is handle by wells fargo they are FDIC insured how ever as with any service you take Credit card through there is the risk of charge back and they charge your a $10 fee for each charge back how ever they do have credit card comformation and fraud is less likely on US transactions .

Understood, thanks for the reply. I have tried Ebays Billpoint before and the fees are outrageous!

Thanks for the tip though

yes billpoint fees are lower over all then paypal.

paypal in case you havent notice has had several fee incresses and you pay even when the buyers dont use there credit card to pay you.

Horse-puckies!

Of course, Shrill-Point has a GREAT charge-back protection program: "If a customer so much as burps, we bend over to IMMEDIATELY send them back YOUR moola & then STICK IT TO YA for an EXTRA $10.00!"

Oh, yeah...Shrill-Point is just wunderful!

That a complete Wrong and you know it if the seller returns fund no charge back can be made and there is no $10.00 charge.

the $10.00 fee only applys if the buyer asked for a charge back from there credit card company bill point only charge you $10.00 because that is what a charge back cost them .

merchant accounts work the same way and even charge highr fees to use and have then for internet credit card payments...

you can bet that now that paypal is a publically held company they too will be chargeing for users a fee for every charge back to protect there profits..

dman: NO it ain't wrong! BillPoint makes a big deal out of the fact that they MAKE NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER at protecting the seller from unwarranted charge-backs!

Basically, they say if one is initiated...you R screwed!

At least PP makes somewhat of an effort at protection!

PLUS (and more important) is the ADDRESS ISSUE with BillPoint! This is the most serious threat to sellers...and few here mention it! It is such a major fiasco!

I use a merchant account through Chase. The fees are better than PayPay's, I get a monthly statement, and the customer gets my business name on their CC statement, not PayPay's name (keeps them remembering me)

Not to mention that when I open my B&M store, I will be all set up for CC's. Can you see anyone doing this one?

"Yes Mr. Customer, we accept Credit Cards. All we need you to do is open an account with a non-FDIC institution acting as a bank, place a credit card on file on their system, and then you can pay for your purchase."

Billpoint - PayPal fees can be difficult to calculate because of the extreme number of variables. Each user should calculate their own based on their common sales.

In many cases PayPal will be cheaper than Billpoint.
