I have some women's plus size blazers, skirts and pants. They are sold separately in the retail stores. For example: I have the blazer in sizes 16W, 22W 24W. The skirt in size 18W and 20W. The pants in size 18W, 20W, 22W.
Should I put like sizes together and sell it as a suit? Or should I put all items up for auction at the same time as individual items and leave it to the bidders to find the matching item to make the suit?

What would you do?

I read somewhere that it is against ebay rules to say "I have the matching XXX currently up for auction to complete this suit" does anyone know if that is true?

I do great listing suits. But I am not sure about these since the jacket and bottom are not the same size on the tag if I should do that. Should I put the skirt and pants with a blazer? Of course the more I add the high the starting price will be so maybe that is not such a good thing.

I do great with blazers too. BUT I do not do so good with pants alone or skirts alone.

So what do you think?

Thanks,

Just my opinion.......but if I were you, I would list them separately and then put a notation within my description that I have coordinating pieces in assorted sizes on other ebay auctions that can be won and shipped together. As far as I know, it not against any ebay rules to tell what else you have up on auction......you could even show a picture in your auction that shows what the suits look like together when matched up but state very clearly that "this auction is for item in title only"......this way they get a visual of what the outfits can look like when matched up. I would suggest also that you do measurements also and add these to your auction description since sizes vary so much by manufacturer. I know I'm tall for a woman at 5' 8" and I won't buy jeans if the inseam measurement is not included along with the actual waist measurement. Good luck and hope I offered a smidgen of help....

I am a plus size women and my top is not the same size as the bottom. So I would list them separately but mention in my auction description to check my other auctions for coordinating pieces. I can't imagine why ebay wouldn't want you to do that.

List 'em separately, but show as a suit in the pictures if you can. Show all sizes in each listing, but make it plain which one this specific listing is for. Few women are the same size, top and bottom, and will appreciate being able to mix and match.

I do it all the time, and have never had a problem with eBay about it. "This auction is for the size 20 blazer. See my other auctions for blazers in size 18 and 22, plus coordinating skirts in 18, 20, and 22."

Thanks everyone! Separate it will be!

I HATE the category set up!
I will put them in Clothing, Womens, Plus Size, Career......NOW do I still put them in suits? Or should I put the Jacket in Jacket & Blazers? And the pants in pants? And the skirt in skirts?

What do you think?

I'd put them in their separate catagories and not just under "suits"....

I sell mostly women's clothes. I have found it usually pays off to double list. For example: I put a chemise in nightgowns and slips.
It sold faster than the one I put in nightgowns.

I would double list them. Costs a little but I think the return in the end would be better. I have started listing some items in two catagories and they seem to get more bids.

Thanks!

I have never double listed items. Good time to try it!

I hope to start listing these next week. I will let you know how it works out. Be interesting to see if one person bids and wins more than one item to the set.

I'll keep you posted!
