A bidder who purchased something from me, eBay changed his rating to:
User Suspended not a registered user
this person has sent me payment for his product via PAYPAL. The am't is several hundered dollars.
PayPal says he's verified, etc.
However, I am feeling nervous about shipping his product. It will have to be delivered by freight. I have to pay the freight company and the drop ship mfgr.
I don't want to be out close to a grand if things go sour.

DO NOT SEND ANY PRODUCT. That would be my first recomendation. They suspended him for a reason, find out why he's suspended first. At least e-mail him if not call him to find out if it's all ok.
Make sure you know the money is good!

Wait a second, maybe I'm missing something but if the buyer paid you have an obligation to ship the item. Getting suspended from ebay has nothing to do with the fact the buyer paid you and is waiting for delivery?
Unless I'm missing something like the buyer didn't pay for shipping and there is COD charges still due for taht otherwise you should deliver, period!

My thought is be careful he doesn't cancel the Paypal payment. That has happened to us. Could you have him pay the shipping costs up front and the auction amount with a money order or Cashier's check - after you send back his money through Paypal. One of our buyers once was suspended also, and after I read all the find print on eBay we did not have to honor the sale. We notified the buyer and then relisted the item. Sometimes it's easier to start over with the auction. Good luck! Fortunately, in our years it's only happened once - the buyers on eBay are great!

Can you still pull contact info of a NARU'ed user on eBay? Seems like you should be able to.
If they used PayPal, I think I would probably send it back simply because to be protected by PayPal you have to have proof of shipment AND there is a limit as to the amount they will cover should the buyer do a cc chargeback. I then, would ask them either to send a certified check for full amount including your freight or withdraw their offer. If they pay with a certified check send it, if not...relist.
Whatever you decide you won't have to worry about receiving a NEG.

can you look at his past auctions (both buy and sell) and contact his bidders/sellers and see if they know something you dont know, one of them or more than one could have something to do with his suspension.
also look at his feedback and contact those who left him recent feedbacks.
you dont have to honor the transaction,if you dont feel comfortable, return the money.
if he does not answer your email or give you contact information, this is not a good sign.

I agree with stopwhinning, if you have tried to make contact and there is no reply this is not a good sign. Maybe it would be best to just send back the buyers money and be done with it.
Lets face it at that point if the buyer really, really wanted the item they would no doubt contact you and ask why you refunded their payment, At least that is what I would do if my payment was returned. That is when you can tell them you tried to contact them several times and got no reply to your e-mails and became concerned.
You might also want to negotiate a new type of payment with them like a certified bank check or money order That is IF you ever hear from this person again.
