"OK I drew the short straw, Several folks wanted me to pass on a message
to you that your Auction Watch signature is annoying. It was funny the
first time, but is way too long and rather annoying."

Chrono Trigger SW0ns! <3

I have wondered about this from the first time I saw your sig line....and I can't stand it anymore, I just have to know:

WHAT DOES IT MEAN??? Is it from a book, movie, computer game, website or something like that? Can you interpret for me? Am I the only person here who doesn't get it???

I see you have added a little "extra" which only adds to my confusion. (Doesn't take much to do that these days)

Thanks!
Sulyn

Sulyn: Forgive my denseness but: Before you start criticizing others what about the 6-7 lines of garbage I see in each of your posts? If others have a problem with someones AW signature let them post it. You are correct-this is totally off the topic. If you would like to criticize please do it privately-not out in public.

Oh Man did I just screw up!!!! Sulyn please accept my apology. I just criticized you for something you did not do. I took the garbage you put in your post as something that came from you instead of palmwire. I have a rule that I will not respond to critical posts until I have all the facts-I just broke my own rule and now I look like a ditz!!!!!

SORRY-SORRY-SORRY!!!!!

Actually I am not critizing!

I truly would like to know what this means.

I know it has to have a meaning because it seems so percisely done.

I would have posted in the RT, but am not sure Palmwire post there.

If he/she cares to share, then I will be enlightened. If not, well, I'll just stay "dense"

Now, surely you wouldn't want that would you???

I just want to know if it comes from somewhere or if it is an original work by Tim. I ran across another seemingly strange sig line on another board, but it turns out it's from some website that has quite a "cult" following. I was just wondering if this is the case here.

I am being genuine.

Thanks again-
Sulyn

If I read capolady's post correctlly, I have to conclude that she/he feels my post are garbage since I don't use a sig line....and I thought I was giving some very sage pearls of wisdom!

If Palmwire would care to share I can be reached at [email protected] (If it's personal-I can keep a secret).

Palmwire is a PERL programmer who recently discovered he can't make money off programming this days.

For those who have no idea what PERL is, don't worry -- there is no use for it on eBay.

He is using the syntax of the programming language to describe how he:

1. Opened the door violently
2. Grabbed the throat of someone
3. Killed the person by breaking neck.
4. Dumped the body in a back alley.

The humor is actually in the syntax of the language -- not what he is describing. Pretty clever.

Thanks springmoon.

OK, I don't feel so bad about not getting it.

Since I don't understand anything much more complex than opening a ceral box ("press here" doesn't seem to work for me most of the time), I guess I can be excused???

I just had to ask because my Mama always told me "if you don't understand something, you can keep quiet and play smart or you can ask questions and get smart"... since I am still working on ceral boxes, I guess her advice was wasted on me.

The ant running along the top of the Kleenex box knew he was supposed to "tear along the dotted line"!

I hate when I open the wrong side of the cereal box.

Thanks for asking too. I thought it was trying to post a graphic or sumthin'.
It's like an engineeer telling a joke that only engineers will get.
I have a heck of a time opening 1/2 gallon waxed milk cartoons.

bidsbids,
The 1/2 gallon ones aren't so bad, but when I go have lunch at my daughters elementary school and they have the tiny boxes-- yikes. Let's just say that I have to sheepishly hand them over to a seven year old and she does it for me.

By the way I am glad you asked too.
