Well now that I have cleaned the cookies/cache/disk - it seems that I've been getting all these icons on my desktop when I turn on the computer! When I've opened them up - they are all bits and pieces of webpages I had visited! I keep deleting them out of my desktop - and there are ALOT! I don't know what I did to get this new problem - does anyone know what I did and what I can do to "undo" it? Thanks in advance!

not sure...but if you flush the toilet and the sink clogs up...run!!!!!!

It sounds as if you've changed the location of the Netscape cache directory to your desktop directory.

Look under Edit -> Preferences > Advanced > Cache

You can then select the cache directory by clicking on the "Choose Folder" button

You probably want to set it to something like:

C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\(username)\cache

where (username) is the user directory for you on the PC...

Thank you!!! That's EXACTLY what happened!

Whew - what a relief to know what the problem is.

But one more thing...is "user name" my email
address name - like what comes before the
"@aol.com" thing?

the "user" name is the netscape profile name. If you don't have different profiles set up, it is most likely "default".
