hi,
have a small dilema,
never had situation like this before,
so I was hoping some of you could give me your opinion.
I had a buyer on pair of Chanel shoes, $237.50 .
Auction ended, buyer paid with PayPal
and requested to have the shoes shipped
to Venezuela.
(unconfirmed address)
I was ready to ship them Friday
(i insure everything )
but I got a email from another buyer
stating that my buyer also
won her auction and requested to ship to England (and also gave her different name
then he gave me)
she contacted BidPay and they told her not to ship.
I emailed buyer keeping all names confidential I asked him nicely to explain just for my own understanding why he has one address in United Kingdom under one name
and second in Venezuela under different name.
I got no reply yet....
should I alert PayPal?
ship the shoes and hope for the best?
(not much of a risk taker, so I'm bit worried...)
any suggestions?
Thank you for taking the time to read it and
have a great evening!

Personally I would hold off shipping on an expensive item seeing that there could be a problem here. I would call paypal and see what they say to do.
You can possibly insist on a verified address? I would be very careful at any rate!
Good luck and let us know what happens.

Go to ebay and pull the persons history and see what address ebay has for them. That should give you someidea what to do.

actualy he already paid with paypal,
but has an unconfirmed address.....
i share account with my husband and he accepted the payment,
but i can always refund

why do you want to call paypal??
he has not done anything wrong(not yet at least) and his credit card must have passed the mustard.
paypal does not protect seller from intl transaction, irregardless of address confirmation.
so if you dont feel comfy, refund the money and ask for cash or money order.
i think there is a time limit on paypal refund, could be 3 days.

hi Trai,
just asked for his info,
hopefully it will be the
I have so I can just ship them
the buyer has 28 possitives from 23 unique,
and a [email protected]
and he apprears to be buying
from US only, so it just might be that
he wants them shipped to wife/girlfriend,
(maybe both, since he has 2 different addresses and names )
ok just got the ebay contact info,
his address is in United kingdom,
(like the other seller got)
but from me he is requesting to ship to Venezuela.

Just keep in mind you are not protected under PapPal's Seller Protection Plan if you ship to an unconfirmed address.

Well, maybe you will luck out. I will ship anywhere, but since there is no protection by shipping overseas, I will take a money order, bidpay etc.
I take a chance on a fifty bucks and under, but not for a few hundred.

yeah, I know about the protection,
I'll ship anywhere since I insure
everything, but 99.9 % of my payments are
bidpay - no charge back no nothing
and once I ship it it's insured,
this time it's PayPal so I'm worried about it.
I emailed the buyer asking for the exlanation, based on his reply I'll either ship or refund ......
thank you all for your help,
you guys are the best!
and have a great evening.
