Typo, should have read "stalker". I had to be away from the internet for 4 days, family emergency. I came home just in time to answer all important question from bidders. There was this one guy, who kept emailing me twicea day, asking me a question that was answered in my TOS/description on the auction page ! I figured he doesnt even read my description/TOS, I dont have time to answer him, as I had more important customers/bidders to answer back to on more important items. wel auction ended 5 days ago, and this bidder, who is a newbie with a zero rating, keeps emailing me thru ebays this...

You need to learn extending people the professional courtesy answering people's
letters requesting additional item information someday.

I get this 5 times a day for the last 4 days! Should I report him to safe harbour? Isn't this harrasement?

I doubt that Safeharbor would do anything. How about writing a nice, brief note to him which says, "Sorry I was unable to get back with you in time for the auction... I was away from the computer for 4 days and have been busy catching up ever since. Thanks for understanding."
Yes, he should probably get a life and it does seem a bit like harrassment, but I don't like being ignored, either. A single kindly-worded response might get him off your back with no muss, no fuss.

The person e-mailing is correct. You should have had the courtesy to e-mail back. Then you wouldn't have had this problem to begin with. Saying you didn't have time to answer even though it says it in your auction listing, is not good for business. Many bidders like to feel they are dealing with a real person and simply like to see if they get a reply. A seller should always have time to answer questions for potential customers.
I would appologize to this person saying something about e-mail was down for a few days or something to that effect. If you happen to have a second item of the same thing, offer it to him/her for what ever price you would get on auction.
If you don't have a second item of the same, just tell them sorry and move on.

Well he has now emailed me 4 times today alone! rainybear, I went ahead and used your most excellent post. lets hope he goes away. by the way, his original question was "what is shipping fee? Also is this a vhs tape and is this a former rental?" which my auction mentions 4.50, priority mail including dc, and this is a vhs former rental.

There must be something in the air because I had my own nut emailing me too. This guy sent over 30 emails to me in one day. Our Ebay transaction was over but he wanted to keep on emailing. Fine, I have made friends from this Ebay gig. Every email was bizzare. He started telling me his life story, He is crazy and I should be scared of him, then they went on to be sexual. I didn't reply to any of them and the last one I received he said our "relationship" was over!!!!!!!
Miss J
PS I had bidders call me on the phone for no reason at all too!

My ads say "All information I have about this item is in this ad. I do not have any additional info (this means I don't know anything else about it)."
I provide a link to FedEx, UPS and USPS web site to have the bidder calc their own shipping costs for large items, since I post the weight, size and my zip code in the ad.
This had prevented a flood of emails from idiots, especially nebwies who don't read the ads, or a too lazy to.
My bid rates have not changed since I posted this in all my ads, and my NPB's have been reduced about 50%.
I found the ones that ask the stupid questions are the most timeconsuming and troublesome bidders.
When I have to spend 15min. anwering each email, my time is taken away from other money making tasks. I'm on eBay to make money, not to make lifelong buddies.

The buyer should show a human courtesy and quit being a pest. Yea he's a buyer so sellers should look the other way, forget that. This is a transaction between two adults and it should be done with maturity. Ironking made a mature decision, buyer can find his answer in the TOS, now it's time for the buyer to act mature and search for the answer in the TOS.
You can foward his emails to his ISP, by using the address Postmaster@his ISP (for example AOL, Hotmail etc.), that works great.
