I have an auction winner (this past Sunday) whose ebay contact email address is an "@home.com" email address.......everytime I send and email, whether it's thru my own server or I use ebays email system.....it comes back as an unrecognized email address.......Any suggestions? I think I remembered a thread where the @home.com email address were being discussed but couldn't remember the suggestions for making contact......I realize I could pull her contact information & call her but the item she won is under $5.00, so don't really want to spend anything on a long distance call either.....I also went and viewed past items she has won in the past 30 days and mine and anther auction ending tomorrow are the only ones.....(I thought if she had won past auctions recently, I could email the other seller to see if she had a different contact email for them.......any help would be appreciated......I've extinquished all my own ideas.

Instead of @home.com try @attbi.com -- I know some of the @home addresses were changed to that, but I'm not sure how many. It's worth a shot!

Thanks, I will try the "@attbi.com" address......I already tried the "comcast.net" with no luck but appreciate the suggestion and will try others that are posted......does anyone know what ebay address I use to make contact about an invalid ebay email address?

You can report an invalid email address here:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-RS.html

Select "Member Problems," "Contact Information," etc. Keep in mind, though, that reporting an invalid email address with automatically earn your bidder a NARU once eBay confirms the bad address.

If you'd rather complete the transaction, you might consider trying to contact the bidder first via the Feedback Forum -- leaving a neutral (or if you're feeling really kind, a positive) stating that you've been unable to contact them and that they should email you for info. I tried that a while back, though, and didn't receive a response.

Thanks "Rainybear" for the link.......I guess I'm just a little disgusted with this buyer since they are only currently winning/bidding on 2 items......mine they won this past Sunday and another which ends shortly, so it's not like they are overwhelmed by too many auction wins & my auctions do state that winners must make contact within 3 days....I always beat them to the punch as I send an email to them requesting their information as soon as the auction ends.......all this buyers emails have bounced back to me even the new suggestions posted here......I know I mainly sell on ebay but when I do bid, it's because I really want the item & I make contact with the seller, most times before they even have a chance to contact me......I know this is not the case with all ebayers, but it does get frustrating........Sorry for venting, but I do feel much better!

I posted on this topic too, there are a lot of possibilities as to what their address could be. I would file with ebay so they get naru'd, that way you will probably get their new address. Hopefully they notice and contact you, my buyers did and all turned out ok

My former @home e-mail is now @charter.net. If the bidder has only bid on two auctions recently, she may have forgotten she did not change her e-mail addy with eBay. Try pulling contact info and give her a call. Just a quick call shouldn't cost more than a cup of coffee.

Some @home.com email addresses are now @insightbb.com in the Midwest.

Worst that can happen is that you get another bounced email back!
