Don;t know anything about Endicia but caught my eye in another thread. Have you used it? Do you still use it? tell me everything you know. I checked out their web page last night but I was the "real deal" from all of you knowledgeable people!

BTY, I live hear Houston. The day today is delightful! Sunny and about 65. My brother, close to St. Louis, told me this morning that it snowed there and school is canceled for the day.

Weather this year has been TOO weird!

Thanks for your help!

Just bumping this back up as I would like some insight as well.

I did sign up for endicia about a month ago. At the time I had about 40 packages sitting ready to take to the PO. After finding out I had to send a test letter and that it was starting to look pretty complicated to get set up I just cancelled and took them all in.

It looked to me like it would be pretty costly in labels and ink. Any opinions? Is it easier than it appeared at first glance?

LOVE IT!!!!! I currently use it and really like it. Customer Service is GRRRRR-eat!! LIVE ON THE PHONE SERVICE. Actually I downloaded Pitney's new online program this week because it is so cheap. 1.49 per month. However it is a real time waster! You do the postage then an address label and there is no free Delivery Confirmation. Customer Service is crummy. Guess you get what you pay for, however I expected more because of there name.

I use Endicia and it is one of the best things I have done for my business! It was very easy to setup and the price is very reasonable. I no longer have to wait in line at the P.O. I just drop the packages on the counter and walk away. It also allows you to use the free delivery confirmation and prints the tracking right on the label. You can check the status of each item you mail from within Endicia. I use the Blue Arrow labels and they cost me $59 for 500 shipped so they are a little over $0.10 each. You can use any label you like including many different Avery labels. I uese a cheap scale from Office Depot (Analog) to weigh my packages as everything I mail is via Priority and that is in 1 pound increments.

Endicia is the best deal around for online postage!

When I first started it, I thought they suggested sending the test letter. I never did it, was that a requirement? So far, all my packages are getting there.

I like it, yes, but I thought there may have been a better one, that had scale and printer all in one, that I didn't need to use my printer. Was it simplypostage?
I don't know, but Endicia is easy to use, I had a few problems with it, I think I posted a thread about it somewhere here, but I have it figured out now

Though, I have to say, I don't like 'educating' clerks at the PO. Last night, as one clerk that knows me, questioned them, and asked 'how I did this?'
(He really didn't know if it was 'legal'???) I explained quickly, he shrugged, I started walking away, while he started in scanning all the D.C.'s , I was to tired to tell him he didn't need to

The "test envelope" is a USPS requirement which we hope they will waive in the not-too-distant future.

For package shippers, which constitute most of our user base, you can just mail in a "postage correction label" of 1 cent value instead of a test envelope. You can print this on plain paper. We just need to scan one of the postage indicia you create and log it into our "QA" system to satisfy the USPS.

BTW, you don't have to wait for any "QA approval" from us to start printing production labels. You can start shipping right after you download the program and activate your account.

I've used Stamps.bomb and PB Cluck-StumpOnline -- neither come close to the value and convenience of Endicia!

I use the 2UP labels from GFLabels.com -- very cheap!

I use U-PIC for insurance it is great. Much lower than USPS and I don't stand in line at PO. Cost is .40 per hundred. All I do is pull up at the back of PO and drop off...

Cancelling my account: (1) No toll-free help line (yes you have to pay when their product does not work); (2) I never get a human just a recording that says leave a message we will get back to you...they have not yet; (3)at least once a week postage does not print and yet I am charged for it...since nothing printed and it is not priority I cannot get a refund; (4)I fine the label set up not as convenient as Stamps.com; (5) Pros: cost less and can print International mail...not worth it I am cancelling mine and going back to stamps.com
