I have been away from Ebay for over a couple of years and now I'm back into it. I used Ebud and I loved it for all my records (and how did I live without the sweet sound of cha ching?). When I orginally bought it I thought it was mine and I wouldn't have to renew, but apparantly I'm mistaken. Does anyone know what happened and how much I have to pay again to start my Ebud up again?

Thanks!

Marianne

The original eBud was sold to Auctiva. Original users were given a two year grace period before having to pay Auctiva for continuing services. If your grace period has expired you will have to pay. PLUS, many, many, many changes have been made to eBud over the years; consequently, your early version will no longer work. Go to Auctiva.com and download the latest version of eBud, that is, if you still want to continue with it. Be warned though, it's quite a bit more complicated to run. Best of luck to you!

If you are looking for a post-sale management tool, take a look at Shooting Star. It is the best out there and you pay one time and it is yours. It also creates ads for you. It's specialty however is all the post-sale management. You can get a free trial at http://www.foodogsoftware.com

marcn: How does Shooting Star compare to AuctionWatch's online Post-Sale Management? I would vastly prefer to do all of this off-line (as would most people) and unfortunately their new version of SMBE is still not forthcoming. I checked the foodog site and it definitely looks good, but how does it actually compare in real life? What about composing auctions and uploading? Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I've stayed with EBud so far, but I will have to start paying in May.

I downloaded the newest version and after just a few hours worth of tinkering and playing with it, I've got the hang of the new system and it works great. I never used to use the Auction Poster that comes with it, but am trying that as well and so far it's been glitch-free.

I think the package is about $10 a month if you buy a year at a time, and that would be a savings over what I am using now AND provide me with auction posting services as well.
