Does anyone know of any sites to check out various types of old ovenware? I am preparing for a yard sale tomorrow. A good share of the stuff I am putting out is my grandmothers stuff. After living in the same town for 80 years, she moved closer to my aunt. I have gotten the lucky job of sorting through about 5 generations worth of stuff and getting rid of the garbage items.
When my grandmother moved, her 4 children went through the house claiming everything of any value that they wanted. What I have found so far is mostly yard sale fodder. But one of the boxes I unpacked tongiht has started me wondering. I found 3 brown bowls that say harcrest oven proof stone ware usa on the bottom (one of the bowls so far has a lid.) I did a search on ebay and the harcrest name showed up but I have found several other bowls that look similar to it but with names that don't show up on ebay.
Needless to say I am not going to be yard saling these items just yet. But I do think I need to figure out what (if anything) they are worth. I would like to say thank you in advance to anyone who can help me out.

Hi - I believe your bowls might be MARCREST, probably the "dot and daisy" pattern. Try a search on Marcrest. Someone used to have a website on strictly that collection. You may want to withhold those bowls, and possible beanpot, from the yard sale. Good luck!!
