Well.. After two years of ebaY selling, I have finally opened my own little store! Today was my opening. Nothing to write home about, but to have a place to do ebaY and have my house back, it has all been worth it! Wish me luck!!

That is EXCELLENT!

Everytime my children (10 & 12) see a vacant store front they tell me I should rent it...(LOL)

There was a great big empty place that was a Long Drugs, blocks from home. They keep saying I could take my ebay stuff and move in there. I thing they just want the house back! Of course they have no idea what kind of expense that would be!

Best of luck to you!

Lorndav!

Congratulations and the best of luck to you! You now have the best of 3 worlds, your own little shop, eBay, and an actual house to come home to! I'm sure it's taken lots of time and hard work -- may the angels smile on you! Good luck!

Good Luck Lorndav!
I have a B&M and it has been very slow. Hopefully you won't have that problem!

Congratulations, good luck, and God bless!

Right now I'd be happy with an attached garage that would be my eBay place. MINE MINE MINE and not share it!! I would like my house back, too!

Happy sales to you!!!!!!!

Best wishes, lorndav.

Sometimes I think having a B&M and doing ebay puts things in a balance. The only thing I would do over is not to grow so big so fast and now I wish I had a smaller shop like the ones I had when I started. Life seemed so much easier then, but it's still fun going to work each day.

Good luck!

"but to have a place to do ebaY and have my house back,"

Best of luck, but what makes you think that you will get your house back?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Enjoy! I am sendiing lots of positive energy your way!

Are you planning on hiring employees or just running it yourself? If you are hiring I can point you toward an organization that will help you avoid employee pitfalls. If I had joined BEFORE I closed my first B&M I would still be running it!

Thanks again for all your best wishes. I am running it myself too small for employees! Actually it is only $350 a month rent. I figure with all my expenses that it comes to $600 a month. I could do it for a lot less if I wasn't paying $135 for a cable modem! They really get the businesses. That is only $20 a day on ebaY. SO if I never sell anything from my store, I still should do o.k., at least this is my plan. Of course like they say, the best laid plans..

It is only 500 Sq Ft, but it has a FULL basement just for storage! My husband says it is worth $600 a month just to get this stuff out of our house, LOL!

Thanks again for your support!!!!!!!

$350 a month...wow, you must not be in the SF Bay Area. $135/month for a cable modem, on the other hand, is outrageous. Are they charging you that because you're a business?
