ON 9 OF MY AUCTIONS. WITH I AM SURE OF THE ONLY INTENTION OF GIVING ME NO LESS THAN 9 NEGS. AND THE ABILITY TO DO THIS AS MANY TIMES AS HE PLEASES WITH A NEWLY AQUIRED USER I.D. ON E BAY. MONDAY TO BE EXACT.
THE XXXXXXXXXX88 WAS THE TIP OFF. I GAVE HIM A COMPLETE REFUND ON AN OFF LINE PURCHASE HE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH. HE PERSTISTED I GIVE HIM SHIPPING IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. I STATED I WOULD NOT. HE CLEARLY STATED IN AN E MAIL, HE WOULD "GET" ME. WELL APPEARS HE HAS MADE GOOD ON THAT.
I E MAILED SAFE HARBOR WITH BASICALLY THE SAME INFO. ANY THOUGHT? STRICTLY A BUYER. I AM A SELLER, 800+ LIKE I AM GONNA NEED 9 NEGS.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. AND HOW TO HANDLE THIS.
I KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE,,,,,,,,,,,,THROW HIS A,,,,,,,,,OFF BUT WILL E BAY DO IT?
NOTICE****************THE AUCTIONS HAVE ALL ENDED WITH HIM BEING THE HIGH BIDDER. THEY WERE ENDED WHEN I WROTE THIS.

Sorry to hear about the negatives, but I don't think eBay will do anything about them. If I were you I would reply with facts as to why you received the negatives.
If you have email from the bidder stating that they are going to leave you negatives for past auction dealings there may be some hope, but don't hold your breath.

If he wins them all, and gives you nine negs, that will meet the Ebay criteria for getting them removed and getting him NARU'D. It would be obvious the only purpose for creating the account was to give negative feedback. The worse thing that could happen would be if he paid for all nine auctions and left neg feedback on two of them. Then repeated the process a week or two later. Even worse would be if he bids the auctions up and doesn't win, or retracts at the last minute and gives the appearance you are shilling or bid shielding. Pull his contact info, cancel his bids and block him. If a suspicious new name pops up on your bidders list later, pull the contact info on them and repeat the process if it's the same person. Get Ebay in on this from the start. If you email him and tell him not to bid on your auctions after you block him, you can get him suspended if he bids again under ANY i.d.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

If he is currently bidding right now, and you are anticipating this, as his retaliation, then retract every bid on your auctions that are his, and block him from further bidding.
If on the other hand he's already given you the 9 negs, there probably isn't a whole lot you can do, or ebay will do. But file NPB's an FVF's on all 9..

Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Have the auctions already ended? I hope you saved the e-mails that he sent to you so you can forward them with the headers to ebay.
sparkz has good advice for you, pull the contact info on this bidder.

Jack, I understand that you have a good reason to be upset but the best thing to do is to just turn the whole mess over to ebay and hopefully they will take care of it. At times you have to be persistent.
No use trying anything on your own to get back at him as ebay will take that into account also.

I wish I understood why eBay does some of the things they do. The logic that if a single buyer costs eBay money 3 times, eBay NARUs them is good thinking, but why the heck don't they count each FVF refunded by them as a point toward NARUing bad buyers, even if multiple ones come from the same buyer?
It would make it a lot easier on buyers as a whole to get rid of these deadbeats, especially if you have crafty buyers who know to buy multiple times from the same person so even if they get NPBd and NVFd multiple times by one seller, it only counts as one strike against them.

Hey angle, Doesn't god give us pies? I've not seen many signs, but I have seen a Whole bunch of pies. I guess I believe in the Baker... He had a dozen appostiles... a baker's dozen!

Gosh, no! We shall resort to flinging pies at one another, so long as they are of the cream variety and not of the hot filling variety. Which is far better than lobbing overripe fruit at one another.
I'm a coconut cream pie girl myself.

Put me down for Loganberry and rubarb pies... What catagory is that under on Ebay? I am always looking for good pies.

Since he is the high bidder, why not request his eBay contact information? Call or contact the name on file to see if it is him or not. If not, then perhaps there is something you can do legally. This may be considered slander and by court order you can make eBay remove unwarranted negative feedback--especially if you can PROOVE it was done in retailiation. But you'll need to make sure it is really the previous unhappy customer who threatened you in the first place. Call a lawyer, that's my suggestion.

There's always the old trick of leaving non-conforming responses to his feedback. Sooner or later eBay's going to tumble to that trick but for now, it works.
(fallenangel, God only said that about the lemon meringue pie because he was worried you couldn't get ahold of some REAL Key lime and he didn't want you to feel bad. )

CURIOUS,,,WHAT ARE NON CONFORMING RESPONSES???? EXAMPLE PLEASE. THANKS.
I DID DO HIS CONTACT INFO. DIFFERENT NAME. HOW ODD HOWEVER,,,,,,THEY BOTH JUST HAPPEN TO LIVE IN,,,,,,,,,,,,,,FLORIDA! WHAT ARE THE CHANCES.HAHAHAHHA. IT'S HIM. AND HE LIKES 88. BOTH OF THEM HAVE 88. IN HIS E MAIL ADDRESS. GUESS HE REALLY AIN'T SO SMART WITH 88 IN BOTH ADDRESS'S OTHERWISE,,,,I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A CLUE.
CALL A LAWYER????????
ANYWAY HE MADE CONTACT AFTER I SENT THE REMINDERS FOR ALL 9 AUCTIONS. HIS RESPONSE,,,,,,,,,,I WANNA SEND A MONEY ORDER, WHAT IS THE TOTAL. LIKE I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT MY TOTAL WAS IF I WAS A BIDDER. THIS IS ALL LEAD ON CRAP. I AM JUST GOING TO GO ON AS IF I KNOW NOTHING. I JUST TOOK ON THE BURDEN OF "POWER SELLER" THIS MAY HAVE SOME BEARING ON HOW E BAY DEALS WITH HIM.
posted on May 15, 2002 12:26:57 PM
Contact eBay and if they can't help you- contact a lawyer. I smell a rat and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this jack@$$ is the previous jack@$$ from before. He is out to get you and if you've just reached Power Seller status, the 9 negative feedbacks in a row are enough to ruin you. This is your business, your business is your livelihood and someone doing this is simply unfair and illegal.
It's considered libelous and slander if he follows through.

Non-conforming responses are incidents where you put the real name and address or phone number of the other party or call them dirty names or use swear words, etc. when you respond.
If he negs you 9 times I think ebay will more than likely remove them under these guidelines:
Participating in an eBay transaction with the intent of leaving feedback as part of a campaign to harass one or more members.
Hang in there and see what happens first though I know it's tough to do.
