For me, things never really picked up from last year. Are things generally going pretty good right now? I'd like to wade back in OR dump my ebay sales entirely. Thoughts?

eBay continues to do well for us, but I must admit the last week has been a bit slow. We sell high end sunglasses and the rain that's been falling across the U.S. has been bad for business. At least, that's the excuse I'm presently using for the lackluster sales.

Anyone else noting a downtrend this week or is my observation on target?

As far as I can see all of my sales have been down a lot since September but that is only understandable.

I also sell womens clothing with an emphasis on plus sizes. Sales have been good. The weekends are always the slowest time for me.

My sale are down 95% and I sell baseball collectibles. All New items. I was making $3,000 a month. My total for April $200.00.
I been on Ebay for three years now, this is the worst ever.

Evenin' everyone,

Like mrfoxy76 says, you never know. Some weeks are wonderful, others are in the basement.

I've had great sales lately. One bidder on my last night closings bought five items.

Works for me! I can combine shipping and save her a ton plus I only have to pack one box and send one email. Heavy enough to use UPS and have them pick it up.

Sales lately have been better than I expected. Hopefully when it gets hot outside peeps will stay inside in the cool and cruise around eBay!

I sure hope someone buys that darn KitchenAid mixer (2023438001) I bought on eBay. It arrived ugly-dirty and badly packed and the bowl was broken! I cleaned it up (took me two hours...) before I listed it. It looks good now. I don't sell dirty things.

Fortunately the seller has been VERY cooperative in filing w/UPS so I'll get my money back some year!

Well, Classicrock, your food only goes in the bowl! LOL! Yes - it DID take me two hours to clean it up.

I'm so very, very tired of receiving items that aren't at least moderately clean.

Anyone else having this problem?

Everything I put on eBay is as clean as I can make it. If I can't get it clean and nice I don't list it at all.

I wrap everything in white tissue and tie it with a satin ribbon before I bubble-wrap and then pack with all new materials.

The mixer was sent in a recycled OreIda Tater Tots box padded with rather badly yellowed 2-inch thick pieces of foam and wadded-up newspapers. Not particularly enticing to open.

Oh well, I guess not all eBay sellers are the same...

Lucy

edited to fix spelling...

Since things never really picked up for you from last year, it likely hasn't changed any for whatever it is you sell. There are some categories that are still going well though.
