I like the service available at http://iship.com/ebay/seller.asp. Basically, you input the particulars and it creates a link for you to include in your ad that buyers can click on to get a shipping quote based on their zip code.

Unfortunately, iShip will only narrow the shipping method down to USPS, providing a quote to the buyer for Express, Priority and Parcel Post.

Does anyone know of a simular interactive service that allows you to narrow the quote to only Priority mail?

Oops! I didn't see this post before I posted a similar post a few minutes ago. I'm very interested in learning what others have had to say and/or experienced.

Hello, I am also interested in hearing from others who are using or have used iShip.

This may be a dumb question but do you have to copy and paste the link to each ad you create? I presume you must because of the varying weights of the different items.

This would then mean that each item would have to be wrapped and packed before the ad is launched so that the weight can be put into the iShip link..

Is this correct?

I really am a puter dumb cluck...

..looks like iShip is either owned by or has a partnership with ebay, so the question is,,how much does it cost? If there arent any fees, what's in it for iShip?? (maybe they're just really nice people who want to help us give out accurate quotes!!) ... it looks like a great way to harvest active user id's and email adresses for spam purposes...I'll pass for now...

I have been using iShip for a very long time. It's a great free service. I have never had any problems with it. One of my favorite features is that I can set it to email me when a package with DC has been delivered.

But, the estimate tool will not allow me to offer an estimate for only priority. Again, does anyone know of a simular service that does allow this?

The only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask!

Yes you have to paste a link for each and every ad.

I don't actually pack each item but I do put it into a box (we use Priority Mail boxes for 90% of our items) add a couple of ounces for peanuts and use this to get my weight. For some of the oversize/odd shape items that we sell we have to include this information when inputting the data for iShip which can accomodate these types of oversize/odd shape packages.
