Some of my auction descriptions have been replaced with the word NONE.
It hasn't happened with all of the descriptions but many have been affected.
Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know if it is a glitch in the ebay system or not! Please help!

The exact same thing has happened to me. I launched 2 auctions last night but the descriptions and pics have disappeared and replaced with the word NONE. I did revise one of those auctions but I revised it by going through ebay. HELP!!!!

Not funny, but LOL because I BID on one of those auctions last night, thinking "boy this guy could care less about describing his product....maybe no one else will bid and I will win CHEAP." I also thought he was VERY lazy! Now I know why it had NONE in the description!

Well...I had to revise 280 listings today because of a "violation" of ebay's link policy. To my surprise, about 100 auctions ended up with NONE as the description. I was livid!!! I called the Power Sellers hotline a couple of times and sent a bunch of emails. A rep from ebay called me on the phone and said that they are aware of the problem and that it is on their end. They said that if I had a copy of my descriptions I could revise my auctions and things should be okay. They also said that if I chose to end the auctions, they would refund any relisting fees. I also received the following email from power seller support:
Hello Katrina,
Thank you for writing to us about the difficulty you experienced
revising your item. We are aware of this issue and are working to
resolve this matter quickly.
Fortunately, this appears to be an intermittent problem and there is a
workaround to keep your auctions running smoothly. Before you revise any
additional auctions, please save a backup of your description. Check
your auction after you make a revision and look for the word 'none' in
the description. If this appears, your description did not successfully
make it into the item database. To retry, go back and submit your
changes again. Repeat until your auction description appears as
normal. Our preliminary tests have shown that the revision process works
more often than it does not. Additionally, advanced HTML and JavaScript
appear to cause this problem more often than simpler descriptions.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
I wish you the best with all of your eBay transactions and I hope you
have a wonderful day!

It has something to do with the html used in your descriptions. It happened to us once. We had use the <div> tag in our template. We removed them and the auctions uploaded fine.
