If you would support eBay stores, you would not be losing customers! Spend your efforts where it helps your sellers, and you would not need referral programs.

First question is how does AW get new business? Word of mouth and with that they will pay you to find new members. Is that a bad thing? Next question. Why should Auctionwatch support eBay stores. Ebay doesn't support AW stores. I can't mention in my auctions that I have a AW store, and if I did my auctions wouldn't stay on long or maybe eBay will find a way to charge me for saying that. I will tell you if AW wasn't here I wouldn't be selling on eBay. I know so little about a computer that if I had to store pictures on a web page I would be gone. I am sure there are others on here that feel the same way. This is a very simple way for me to launch eBay auctions and I like simple. I have no complaints. AW also has many good services When ebay needs money they up their fees. I doubt AW CEO's have a net worth of 9 million dollars. Yes, according to the papers Meg is worth 9 million dollars.

I agree with you on the services of Auction Watch . . . not perfect but very simple to use. I am computer literate, and AW sure does make selling easy. But you say AW should NOT support eBay stores??? But sellers (ie. AW customers) are requesting this feature. eBay is not perfect, but where else are YOU going to sell with the kind of traffic they get? When Auction Watch FORCES you to use their storefront, who then, is in control of your business?

Anything that makes the flow of business better either way should be supported. If the proper arangements could be made, everyone would prosper.

The eBay Outlook is a great place to discuss eBay auction related topics!

The key thing of this is:
Not >one< of the banners (or link) that AW provides can be placed in any eBay listing (which you would presumably launch from AW).
So maybe you will think to include one in your WBN - but then more than 50% of winners don't seem to fill that out.
And does anyone really think that AW is getting that much traffic from the other auction venues it supports?
I'm not sure that this one was worth it...

I have items in my AW store front and I doubt if they will ever get sold but I can tell you that I never visit an ebay store either. AW isn't forcing me to use their store front, but eBay isn't letting me advertise my storefront either. If eBay is just a venue then why can't we advertise? I doubt if my storefront on AW would take any business away from eBay. I like the concept of the auction, put the item on 7 days, sell and it is out of my house. In a store front you have to keep it around until you sell it. I think I have 4 items in it. I also never mention my store front in my WBN's because I like mine short and sweet. I doubt if anyone would go there anyway.

I forgot one thing. When someone comes up to me and asks me if selling on eBay is easy I say yes because I use AW and it is a simple way to launch auctions. No fuss, no muss. I give them the address of AW and tell them to go into it and read how simple it is to start selling.

Just to clarify a few things mentioned in earlier posts....1) Meg's net worth according to Forbe's is $850 million.
2) I have always had my AW "Visit my Gallery" link in my auctions - is this not allowed?

The Newsweek article said there are 25,000 eBay stores. I think eBay is very easy to use without any third party companies reaching into my pockets. There's hardly any room in there with Megs chubby hand in there anyway.
