Wow. A new way for eBay to try to scam money out of us. This is a pathetic attempt by Meg to milk money from it's users.
"Because you have gotten such-and-such amount of feedback, we are giving you this EXCLUSIVE OFFER* to spend money on clothing with the crappy eBay logo on it! Not everyone will get to purchase this crap! Only you will, because YOU ARE SPECIAL!"
*exclusive offer open to virtually everyone on eBay

Dumbest thing I've ever seen...
Even if they GAVE me the stuff, would I use it? I think not...
Okay, here's a scenario. Person goes out in search of things to eBay. They're wearing their eBay shirt. They come across a wonderful sale just loaded with super things. What's the seller going to do when our eBayer asks for prices?

It is legit. Ebay, being the generous benefactor that it is, allows us to buy stuff depending on our star rating. The higher the rating the more expensive the stuff. If you don't feel comfortable clicking on the link, go to the ebay main page and look up the recognition program.

Oh, Tom, now I see what you're worried about.
I wouldn't be concerned. It looks like a legitimate eBay site to me. The fact that it knows your star level says that to me. I don't believe a phony site would have access to that information.

I used my eBayID & password to get in ( I got my red star about a year ago ) and nothing happened. It probably checks your feedback rating before letting you in. It's merely an exculsive store.
I wouldn't wear the stuff either. Is anyone that madly in love with eBay? Wearing it at a flea market would be a bad move as many sellers hate eBay.

Well...eBay says this: (of course they want HEADERS, but you CAN'T REPLY-ROTFLMAO!!)
Thank you for contacting eBays SafeHarbor Department about an email you
received that appears to be from us, but may not be authentic. We share
your concern and will investigate this situation as soon as possible,
usually within 24 hours.
After we thoroughly investigate your report, we will take appropriate
action in accordance with our site policies. Our actions may include
issuing a warning, temporary or indefinite suspension, or terminating
the membership. Please keep in mind that, due to our privacy policy,
you will not be sent specific details about the results of our
investigation. If we need more information, we will contact you.
When people attempt to gain access to eBay members' private information
they sometimes send an email solicitation they create to appear as if it
originated from eBay. By altering the reply-to address for an email, it
appears to have come from eBay, when it actually came from an external
email address. This process is commonly referred to as "spoofing".
The message you received was most likely one of these emails. Of course,
these emails are not endorsed by eBay in any way, and we take action
against those who make these attempts.
Now that you have been contacted by this user, you may want to consider
adding the member's email address to your "blocked" list and be sure to
take advantage of any junk email filters provided by your email program.
In order to properly investigate this report, we need a copy of the
email that was sent to you that appears to be from eBay along with the
full header. If you did not include the information, please resubmit
this information through the webform. We always need the full header of
any email you send as evidence because it enables us to trace the
pathway of the email. You can review what a header is and how to
locate it at the following web address:
If you have trouble locating the email header, we suggest that you go to
the following web address, which contains information about finding
headers for many email services:

We appreciate the time you took to write and thank you for helping to
keep eBay a safe and reputable forum in which to conduct business. We
also want to assure you that an eBay Safe Harbor Representative will
quickly review your report about this email that appears to be from us
and apply our guidelines fairly.
