Just had a new user email me about registering on ebay today and claims ebay isn't accepting her bid. It's been tooo long ago for me, I thought you could bid right after signing up. Does anyone know?

Yes, you can bid immediately. Ask your bidder if she has made sure to confirm her registration. I think she would have gotten an email with a number she would have to go back in and enter.
It's been awhile for me to. I may be thinking about changing email addys LOL!

my brother-in-law registered this past Saturday and still hasn't received confirm email from ebay. He tried to follow the instructions and go through the register portion again and was told he should have already received his confirmation email, still nothing.

There has been a lot of trouble for over a week for people with hotmail accounts recieving emails from ebay,so this could be part of it too.good luck
