Yes, I paid the money and seller is refusing to deliver, saying that sellers maintain the right to dishonor completed auctions. Thanks for the link.

The seller is wrong on this one. If you post the item, they must be able to deliver. That is in the rules. Also look at bidbids post about a collection agency. I think it is in the other auctions venue.

Sellers don't have to honor a sale. I know ebay says cancelation of bids has to be done before end of auction, but they can't force you to sell to someone who you deem questionable. If they did, and there was a problem, ebay could get sued. Besides, how hard is it to lie and say the item was smashed and is not saleable?

I think I need more information about the transaction before I can form a good opinion.
For instance, mjh2, could you explain what you wrote: Yes, I paid the money and seller is refusing to deliver, saying that sellers maintain the right to dishonor completed auctions.
1) Did the seller say why they aren't completing the transaction?
2) Did the seller take your money and is refusing to send your money back?
I know that if I have a gut instinct about a buyer (i.e. switching items) I would not complete a transaction. I would send the money back with "proof" of sending the money.
Sure I may get a neg, but it is better than having the possibility of the hassle of the transaction gone bad. The neg goes away, life goes on, this too shall pass, but at least I have the item
