ebaY is holding a free listing day on ebaY Canada on Thursday
27 Jun from 00:00:01 ET (12:00:01AM ET) to 23:59:59 ET
(11:59:59PM ET). East Coast time is three hours ahead of ebaY
US west coast Pacific time (PT).

The seller can be anywhere in the world but MUST list in
Canadian dollars and be willing to accept Canadian dollars and
ship to Canada. You may show a preference for US dollars or
the currency for wherever you are located, in the description
block, but must be willing to take Canadian dollars if the buyer
requires you to. You will find that most of you customers will not
- as they too will be in the US. Make sure you include the country
you are in the "ship to" block, so your listing shows up in that
country also, not just in Canada. Or designate "international"
shipping.

Included in this FLD is eBay.ca Motors and eBay.ca Stores.
Real Estate Listings are excluded from Free Listing Day.

Insertion Fees only will be credited during Free Listing Day. All
other fees (final value fees, optional home page featured,
featured plus, highlight, bold, gallery etc.) will still apply. If
you are using Seller's Assistant (SAB or SAP) to do your listings,
your fees will be credited to your account within one week of Free
Listing Day.

Whoopee Doo! YUCK, if that is our “FLD.” Although, we post everything for International sales, I have not been fond of Canadian sales, something always seems to be a problem. We sell to the Pacific Rim, and England without problems, but Canada – don’t know.

The crux of the matter is accepting Canadian Dollars – I’d be the seller who someone would pay in actual Canadian Dollars, and it cost more in our part of the country to convert them that they are worth.

Guess I’ll pass…

I would like to take advantage of the Canadian free listing day. I'm kind of confused about accepting Canadian dollars, say if I stipulate they must pay via Billpoint or Paypal (to cut down on weird money orders or foreign checks). Would the Canadian money be converted into a US dollar figure when they pay? Does this make sense?

When I use to ship international, most Canadian customers would pay with US CASH. Sending cash is not something I recommend. They did so at their own risk.
