I have PayPal for my customers but have never actually paid for anything myself using PayPal. Had a customer ask...Is there a fee charged SELLERS when payment is made with a "Cash" account? I was under the impression PayPal charges 2.9% plus $.30 for each transaction (with a minimum of $.50) for ANY transaction...cash or credit card. Is that correct or am I in error? Thanks for help...

The seller,(receiver of payment)is charged .30 plus 2.9% of the payment. The buyer is NOT charged anything. Re: PayPal charges (sanmar about a week ago.)

Premiere and Business accounts are charged each and every transaction. Personal accounts are not charged when payment is made using existing money in the paypal account.

The seller is charged no matter how the payment is funded. Credit card, bank account, cash, or even paypal balance. The seller gets charged.
Also, on personal accounts, they can only receive XX amount of dollars before they are forced to convert to a Business account. Not sure what the limit is right now as it changes so frequently, but it when I had to convert, it was $100 per every month, but I am pretty sure it is less than that now.
