I want to set up a second account. I sell postcards and football pennants. I would like to separate them so I have only postcards under one user ID and pennants under the other user ID. I have a new and second email address. I have just changed my email address for my current user ID. This new email address contains the same letters as my user ID. I would like to set up a second account using my old email address. I tried to register but ebay said I was already registered. How do I set up a new account with a new user ID and my old email address

I once lost over 200 feedback by merely trying to change my email address to another user ID. EBay said they had to manually make the change and it would take about 30 days. However, the change never happened so I simply took a new ID, and lost the feedback. Recently I opened a second account so I could separate my books from my collectibles. To do this I took a new email address. Once you have you new ID, you should be able to change the email address back to your old one. I hope it works. Good luck.

If I remember correctly -
When you change your ebay email address or user id - you can still search that name or address for like 30 to 45 days. Therefore, you can not register that email address again for 30-45 days.
You might want to get a new email address and register with that.
