Recently I became a Silver Powerseller. Unfortunately, I did not write down eBay's phone number. I am told that the Silver members get a phone number for support. Does anyone have that?
Has anyone experienced eBay getting nasty on their rules? I had no idea we were not allowed to give a 'choice' in our auctions. We used to give choices all the time. We sell framed art and we would give the winner an option to choose a different frame color once winning. We didn't do this for a while, and then brought the option back. They suspended us! Just like that. A Silver Powerseller, suspended with only one warning. We thought we took care of all five auctions with the choice option. One slipped through again, Suspended. I want to call eBay and talk to someone. I sent an email two days ago and haven't heard anything.
Another thing... remember when we used to be able to advertise our website in our eBay auctions? We had a banner ad for our site within our auctions and it helped our business tremendously. What more changes can we expect? Does anyone have the eBay phone number? Thank you for your help.

It sounds like you never even glance at the eBay rules. Selling at eBay is kind of like driving a car. You better know the rules and changes of the roadway rules or face geting a ticket or suspended license. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Powersellers....I just won my first item from one. I was not happy. I emailed her several times, never got a response. Left a neutral, still never got a response. Evidently, customer satisfaction is NOT one of HER prioritites! Do powersellers get so busy with making their "quota" that they let customer service go to the dogs....or is this just one that does? I wish I had left a negative....

I don't have the phone number sorry.
Yumacoot- Obviously not ALL Powersellers are so concerned with their "quota" that Customer Service would suffer. Part of our "quota" IS customer service.
To be a Powerseller we must have less than 2% negative feedback. If we were to offer really bad service we couldn't stay on as Powersellers, the negs and neutrals would disqualify us from being in the PS program.. I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe I heard that we must have a 100% Return Policy too.

This particular power seller finally responded...she said "thanks for letting me know you recieved item...enjoy!"
No "what's the problem?", "tough luck", "return it"....nothing. IF power sellers DO have to have a return policy, I would like to know. Also, will let HER know she needs to read her "rules" if that is the case. And now I KNOW I should have left her a neg rather than a neutral...maybe it would have disqualified her. BTW...I am not typically a hard person to deal with, I just expect an honest trade, my money's worth, and at least an acknowledgement that they know I am not happy.

I have never heard that Powersellers have to have a 100% return policy. That is untrue. You can go to the powerseller part of eBay to look at the rules.
As for customer service with powersellers, I think they usually offer very good service. They sure know the ropes better than the newbies who can't even send the end of auction notice to their high bidders. I am a powerseller and have 99.7% positives and I pride myself in responding to every email I get, even the ones that say they just got the item or ones that say they are mailing the check..etc.
As a buyer, I will buy from a powerseller over a newbie. I know they know what they are doing.

The only thing I have against some Powersellers is they write ads full of lies about their product which really bothers me when I'm selling the same product.Don't lie to the buyer and tell them this item sells for five times the amount it really does.Don't lie and say other sellers sell it for much more, when they sell it for much less.

Powersellers are no different from anyone else. The only difference is the $$ amount of sales they do (not necessarily volume).
Some powersellers have excellent customer service and some don't, Just like non-powersellers.

I am a power seller with more than 4000 positive feedbacks and firmly believe in treating every customer on a one to one basis. This is why I have many repeat customers and a very good sell through. I do not diplay the power sellers icon for all the reasons stated here.

I got my first Neg last month and was so upset & depressed. 200 feedback, all positive, then Wham! A psycho on the line, refusing to answer my emails, but left me a Negative 4 days after the auction closed. It was horrible trying to deal with this guy. I just keep getting more and more strange people bidding on line.
