ask first, that will avoid confusion...

Bidpay is a money order. Far safer for the seller than most.

If a seller says he accepts money orders, then his only choice, really, is whether to ship upon Bidpay confirmation, or after he receives the money order.

The only thing Bidpay asks of the seller is not to ship to any other address except the one they (Bidpay) has confirmed with the credit card company.

I'd rather have Bidpay than any form of payment, including cash. In fact, on some of my higher dollar items, I offer to share the cost if they use Bidpay.

I had an auction end from an international buyer, he paid me by bidpay and I didn't belong but I did join as if anyone wants that service it will be available to them. It costs the seller nothing. Payment went smoothly.

If a seller for some reason deiceds that they do not want to use Bid Pay I would not use it. Most sellers think long and hard about what forms of payment to accept and if you seller states specifically that they will not accept bidpay, you can send it, but they do not have to accept it. Follow the TOS that was in the auction before you bid. If they want a Money order but will not take bidpay, then send a money order not from bid pay. Personally, if someone sent me a form of payment I do not accept, I would be tempted to take the money and send nothing (I would be tempted, I would not do it).

well i was just curious about auctions where the seller states he accepts money orders only. id rather go thru bidpay then just mail one out. probably easier to just ask teh seller. i just wasnt sure if it worked kind of like paypal. the seller had to have an account with them or aomething in order to get payment.

Bidpay does send money orders, so if I had a money order only policy, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

In my, all but brief, experience with Bidpay... They send a money order, which is great. They ASK the seller to sign up for the service, but you do not have to be signed up for the service in order to receive payment through them. As a seller, I welcome all Bidpay payments.
