Anyone out there willing to share info on best listing day and ending times? I read once that anything ending on a Sunday Evening was the best. I've been doing that for a year now but just wondered if I have correct information? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....thanks

I never worry about the day of the week, but all of my auctions end at 11:00 PM Pacific time(I live in CA). This gives all bidders the evening to review my auctions. Eleven on the west coast is 2 AM in NY. Also, I can review my closings before I go to bed. I have done this for over 2 yrs. & it works for me. It may not work for east coasters.

Since 70% of the nation lives in the Eastern time zone I try to end them around 10 Eastern time or earlier.

makes since if the percentage is correct. I tend to sell mostly to East Coast. Bummer is that I live on West Coast and with the new rates---yuck...

Bidsbids is right, at least in theory. Between 6:30 and 8:30 pacific (9:30 - 11:30 Eastern) time should be the optimal ending time.

As for day of the week, I'm clueless at this point. I do know that we don't seem to do too well on weekends.

I sell clothing exclusively and find that the weekends are horrible. The best time for my auctions are the second half of the week in the early afternoon west coast time.

I usually skip Friday eves. I'm a Floridian and normally start my auctions at about 6PM Pacific and run them through the evening until about 10:30 or 11:00 Pacific. Of course I list between 50-100 items each day that is what allows me the time spread. I've been going this for 6 years and it has been successful.

wow, thanks for all of your information. I been so stuck on trying to end on Sundays and it looks more like the time is important and not the day. Thanks again everyone, cramer

Not in complete line with the thread topic but lately I've been trying the 10 days and 2 category approach to listing. It adds to the cost but gets more hits and seems to get better results.

I usually do Sunday night. About 7 to 8 pm Pacific Time. I find that if I list any later, the final ending price is lower since East Coasters are in bed.

I find the best deals when buying on auctions that end late Pacific Time or on Friday evening, so I avoid ending on those days.

I will avoid to end my auctions on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, I didn't do well on those days. Other days are o.k but fo far Friday is the best for me.

Hi

I usually close at 6:00 or 7:00 PST so that would be 9:00 or 10:00 EST. I think that anything later and a lot of folks have gone to bed especially on the east coast.

I usually would not end on Friday or Saturday. I was going with Sunday, however, there are a lot of people who have access to Ebay on their work computers. Just a thought.

The best day to list is ALWAYS the day after you listed it.
