I doubt I will make enough money to pay my cable bill this month. How slow are your sales? Is there anything that is hot right now?

I mainly sell collectables and a few other things on ebay and YES, my sales are down also. I'm still listing but not listing alot. I figure the weather is nice everywhere and people are able to get outside and do their own buying so I'll just have to wait it out until the weather cools and people are back inside doing their buying!

I sell books, games, Lp's and similar items. This has been the worst two months ever.
I am unsure how to pay a few bills this month. I am selling about 1 in 10 auctions and these are mainly going at opening bid...If things don't improve soon I will be back on a job hunt. My sales are too slow to continue to support me.

I do a few Lane Bryant items but mainly we sell Silhouettes. We sell more Silhouettes than anyone else on eBay and have many repeat customers.

Smokin'. Over 95% sellthrough. Partner just wrote a quick program that gives me a cumulative total of the month's sales so I can see how we're doing and what cash flow for the coming weeks is likely to be. Currently selling 400-500 items a week and having to scramble to keep up. Thank heavens the EOA program he did for me sends out mail within 30 minutes of an auction's end. eBay keeps trying to trip us up by changing the EOA format but so far we've been able to adjust.
Really looking forward to September, when my monthly nut is reduced by $3500. I'll have a lot more discretionary income then. I might just take October off and rest up for the Christmas push.

what the heck are you selling? 400-500 auctions on. I try and keep like 40-60 auctions on each week with used clothes and and some toys. I am a stay at home mom with two kids and 4 cats and my hands are more than full- 400-500 blows my mind. When do you find time to clean the house or run errands. My hat goes off to you.

We sell jewelry, mostly. I do eBay fulltime. We took a couple hours out to vacuum up and down stairs yesterday and rediscovered the original color of the carpet.
7 cats: 6 indoors and 1 stubborn porch cat.
Had to empty the vacuum cleaner three times, there was so much cat fur.
When I had a fulltime job, it was hard to find time to run errands. Now I can do them whenever I want, unless I'm expecting a delivery or a temp worker showing up.
I used to think 100 auctions a week was a lot, then we started automating some of the processes.
It's all a matter of scale.
There's one eBayer doing jewelry who runs about 6,000 auctions a week and they are all unique items. I've scratched my head trying to figure out how and finally concluded that she does not actually have all the merch in stock but buys what she needs from the wholesaler to fill her eBay orders. Just keeping an inventory of so many items would be a staggering task, so perhaps she is drop-shipping. I seem to recall once I figured she was paying eBay about $50,000 a month in fees.

Got three payments in one day!
Got one bid on three auctions!
Hoping that I can list in August and sell a stack of victorias that took too long to list and generated one sale.

wow sounds like you've got it all under control. Ya I bet the jewelry goes well. I wanted to replace a gold watch I lost at the lake a month ago so I found one I liked on Ebay and it went very very high- so glad you have found a good market. Happy selling

who else out there does computer related items we may get together to help keep our supplies going good always need a good supplier

32 item(s) with bids = 91% sellthrough rate. 2 items with no bids out of 36. I feel pretty good about it. Bought the lot for 20.00, still have 45 of those items to list, so far made 290.00 of the lot....(I am not full time ebayer, have other job, so I am small time!) But hey, it's money to play with.

Since the 1st of July, I have had only 3 sales running 12 to 15 auctions daily. Worst it has ever been. I am not going to list anything for the rest of this month. Then I will see what happens with the stock market. If it keeps falling, I may have to jump, but I live in a mobil home, so I'll have to find something higher. Can't get hurt from 5 feet. LOL. In case you haven't figured it out, I am retired & the profit from eBay is what can use at Laughlin, NV for playing poker every 3 to 6 months. I'm 73 & still love poker, vodka & women. Not necessarily in that order.

slow sales for me too. And even my Buy it now's that are going - it says to pay within 48 hours by paypal and everyone who bids doens't have paypal. So that's more frustrating in addition to lack of bids. Right now I have 4 items listed, no bids. I keep checking over and over...and things that have ended are not going as high as they should. I think I am going to take August off if I can and start again in Sept and stock up. I've been stalking up since fall.
My boyfriend is now my ebay partner in crime and he's so excited about any bids and watches ebay like a hawk. Kind of funny. I've been doing it for almost 5 years and it's fun but doesn't excite me like the newbie he is! Had to teach him at yard sales not to say the word "ebay" although we hear it often enuf.
I have 2 cats btw and they do take up my time but I work full time and list only part time. I LOVE cats for all you cat lovers!!!
I sell collectibles, some clothes, purses, books, etc.

Good thing there is Yahoo. Right now it is the only place generating sales for me. I figure around Labor day that will change, but for now, it is Yahoo.
