before you buy ,you should read the terms-it said half will notify seller, seller will respond to half and half will email you and said seller will ship.
there is no need for seller to reiterate to buyer that he will ship,if you are not getting half email, you should check with your provider.
amzn is different,it assumes the seller has the book on hand, but half is more cautious.or
skeptical

bidsbids is right, it's STILL not easy to communicate with buyers over there, and it was actually grounds for being removed from the site until recently.
As far as I am aware, they still don't allow you to put an invoice/receipt in the package.
They want to HIDE the seller from the buyer. Otherwise, you could order again from the seller and Half would lose their commission.

Half sends an email to seller saying has agreed to ship the item, and that's the only communication the seller gets. Don't worry, you will get your item.
Half is a great place to get rid of those books that just won't sell on eBay, since there is not cost to list. Even though I sometimes only get a couple of dollars, it's better than nothing. The downward pressure on prices is horrendous, though. I have to go into my inventory and reduce prices every couple of months because some other buyer will try to undercut me.

As a Buyer on half.com ~ I love it !!
I have bought many books, etc and have never ever had any problem .. sometimes a seller is a bit slow in shipping but all items were received in timely manner and in great condition as stated !!
One time a seller didn't respond to the half.com order within the 3 days and half.com cancelled the order and emailed me .. so I simply bought from another seller there !!
Seems to me you can report if there is a problem directly to half.com
Since I sell on ebay, was thinking about selling books there but doesn't seem to be worth all the trouble since the prices are usually low

amzn used to be a good place to sell books, now it is the same,so much undercutting.
i think more and more brick and mortar retail bookstores and wholesalers are selling on amzn.

Selling sucks on Half.com unless you are into selling eveything at $.75.....
In the early days I sold many books and videos a week.........BEFORE millions of people listed good stuff for pocket change.....
I NEVER once got an email from the buyer... no access to it either.
I once had a package come back to me because my handwriting of numbers in zip codes can be at times terrible... my 4's and 7's get confused all the time.
So I could not tell my customer about the impending delay.......so of course they started screaming SCAM, FRAUD, RIP OFF!!! to half.com who reversed the transaction even though I had already shipped it again. If I could simply TELL the customer the item came back and was shipped again all would have been well in the world.... and all in a space of 2 weeks... Even then half.com told of 7-13 day delivery times with media mail.
Half.com customers are SHITTY......they will at the drop of a hat NEG you for the pettiest, littlest, nothingness reasons.
I have more bad ratings for STUPID #*!@ on half.com than I do for all other auction sites combined.....completely unreasonable dumb-ass reasons for leaving NEGS.....well back then it was "1" ratings......1-5 style.
Haven't sold a single anything in nearly a year...... And I really don't care to anymore.
