Go back to all your previous auctions and track the amount down and e-mail the buyer in question. If that's a pain in the rear, just hold onto to the money order until one of your buyers claims to have sent a payment and is wondering what is the holdup on his/her item.

I always seem to have one or two of those itemless payments sitting on my desk. I have one here from May...not even a return address.

When buying I always printed out the EOA e-mail from the seller and included it with payment. Why can't sellers remember to put the auction number in their EOA's?

stusi,

The eoa is usually a form email. I don't know of anyone who doesn't put the auction id in with the EOA. Have you actually had problems with it before? (besides, if you print out the EOA as sent to you, then your email addy is in there and you are searchable.)

kyms,

I still have a returned shipment box for an item that the person paid over $50 for back in late april. He gave me a new address to ship it to, but never sent the new shipping amount for it. I emailed, and emailed and emailed. No response, so on a shelf it sits, in its original packaging and truly homeless. Now with the increase in postage rates, he won't be happy at all to learn what it will cost to ship it to him. (5lbs to zone 8, priority mail)

some people just don't care I guess,

Blessings,

intercraft- I am not talking about the Ebay EOA, but rather the seller's EOA. About 10-15% do not have the item number and/or description.

Since the fiasco in Pirority Mail, I have not used WBN, but contact the buyer directly. I always use the ID # as well as the description of the item. This leaves no room for error.

I would suspect that the number of mistakes made by buyers is no greater than those made by sellers.

My guess is that no one is going to 'admit' to not sending the auction ID along. But I do have to say that it really sucks when they don't. I know I did not do it at the very beginning, rookie mistake, but I don't know why anyone would continually do that...

SNOBBISH,,,,,I HATE TO CORRECT YOUR SPELLING BUT IT'S,,,,,,UNINTELLIGENTS. INTELLIGENTS WOULD HAVE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MEANING.

I, IN THE SUBJECT LINE STATE, THE AUCTION NUMBER, THE "ITEM" WOODPECKER HEAD, $45.00.

ACTUALLY I ONLY GIVE THE LAST 3 NUMBERS.

587 WOODPECKER HEAD $45.00

THEN I BEG THEM TO LEAVE IT ALONE. 90% DO.

I ALSO BEG THEM TO ENCLOSE THAT WBN WITH THEIR PAYMENT. 91% DO.

THE ONES THAT JUST HAVE SEND ME THEIR OWN VERSION USUALLY IN THE SUBJECT LINE,,,,E BAY. WONDERFUL!!!!!

THEN,,,,,HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING? AAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

I KNOW THIS NOW. 70% READ NOTHING.

SOLD ANOTHER BIG HOME APPLIANCE,,,,NO SHIPPING!!!! 3,,,,,,,HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING????

IDIOTS!!!!!!

Actually it is "Lack of intelligence".

I use a listing program that allows me to search by my customer's names, as well as their eBay id's, auction #'s, addresses, as well as any other info from the auction.

Doesn't AW do this?
