This is one of the rudest things a buyer can do. They could have software that allows them to bid automatically. You have no obligation to sell to them if you don't get paid promptly. Normally I would contact the second highest bidder but with BIN that's impossible. I would relist it and sell it if I could. Give them a NPB when you can.

Come on.... give the guy a break, life happens. I sometimes wait a month during the summer for payments but I have never lost a sale yet. If you gave him/her your address you may find a check in the mail if you are patient. If you need cash that bad then wait 10days and put it up for auction again. Sent the money back if you get it with a note stating you waited 10 days for payment.
People handle business matters differently and a seller needs to be more flexible with a mail order situation. Send an email via Ebay so there is a record request for payment.

I agree with Greengate, wait it out. I know that I can specify a certain automatic email response("out of the office", "On vacation", ect...) to all emails I receive when I am away from the computer and won't be able to respond right away. I don't use them because I think they are a sort of rude way of handling email. But because you are receiving these "on vacation" responses means that he has received your EOA notices. Give him some time. He may be able to check mail on vacation and just has the auto email so he can slack on respones until he's done laying on the beach. I would give him two weeks and if still no response, file your NPB.

The bidder was responsible enough to arrange for a return mail to notify you that he was away, so I'm betting he'll follow through with the purchases. A deadbeat would have just left on their trip with no communication whatsoever.

I have had this happen on several occasions during holidays & summer. I know of at least 4X & everyone has come through jus as they said they would. Put yourself in their shoes. If it were something you really wanted, wouldn't you use bin & tell the seller you were on vacation? Buyers don't have any idea of what the seller is going through.

Sounds to me like the buyer really wanted the items, but does NOT have the money to pay for them right now. Saying they are away on vacation is a great excuse to buy time.

check the feedback of the buyer if it is good give them a couple of weeks, most people check there e-mail while on vacation when they can and it is the time to go on vacation. I think they will follow through also.
Most people get paid around the 1st of the month, so odds are they have the money just really away and wanted to buy your items.

I was on vacation for 3 weeks this summer, and was actively bidding! My guess is this guy has his email automated, and he will be in touch with you. I tried to use auctions where I could pay with paypal, but I did have my check book with me if they didn't...

We travel quite frequently and I have put auto bids on some items that close while we're gone but I always get the sellers OK before I put in the bid. As a seller I have OK'd a lot of bidders who were in the same situation.

Make excuses for them all you want, it is RUDE! I have had it happen to me three times this past year. No one okayed it with me before bidding. They know they are bidding on something that will end during their vacation and should make arrangements before they bid.

well im going to treat them like any other buyer. just because i get an automated email does not mean i am going to hold it for 2-4 weeks.

We have bid on auctions while out of town. It was no problem to pay for them as well.
It depends on what your TOS say. If it says payment due in X number of days, then he agreed to it by bidding.
