I recently purchased the norton antivirus 2002 and I'm having one problem. I'm trying to figure out how to configure my Outlook Express 5 settings ( pop3 - smtp) for Eudora mail and my ISP is Juno.

Very simple. Open up your Norton A/V It will give you a list of options. You can pick & choose the ones you want. If you click on scan emails, then it will do this automatically. Also it is recommended that you scan your entire system weekly, so click on this one too. I have my PC set up that at 1 AM wednesday I run scan disk, Defrag after that & then Norton A/V. All fo this takes place while I am sleeping. I always turn off the monitor before going to bed, but I never turn off the PC. I have been told by various techs including my youngest son, that it is better to leave your PC on than to turn it off & on. I believe that when it is "asleep" the power is down to 30 or 40 watts.

alwaysbroke: I never get out of bed @ 1 AM to do anythhing on the PC. This is all set up in system tools under scheduled tasks. It is all automatic It starts @ 1 AM & is finished about 3 AM. If I had to stay up or get at that time, it would never get done.

alwaysbroke, you and me both. I am never in bed by 1 am, but I manage to scan and defragement at least once a week though. I try and do it on Saturday when I leave the house to mail my packages and make either thrift store or rummage sale rounds. If I ever get to be early than 1 my family thinks I'm sick.
