i know this is not the place for this question but figure get the most helpful answers

my girlfriend is about to start nursing school and needs about 18-20 books in total approx over $2,000

where is the best place to find these used? i tried soo far amazon and half.

anywhere better?

usually you can try any campus bookstore. they have then there for sale used. tho you may find better deals online somewhere. my husband is a physics major and his books were so ridiculous i thought wed have to file bankruptcy. lol anyway have you searched ebay at all?

What about the book store at the college or university that she is going to. A lot of students turn in books at the end of a semister and then they turn around and sell them again but at a reduced price. Also try an add in your local paper. Did you try eBay? I will tell you that many are found at garage sales, but then you have to watch the publishing date as some get outdated after the first year published. Good Luck

I believe there are a variety of web sites that deal with selling college text books. Search the web for them. Here's an example.

thanks alol she has been talking to other students and all in the same bad situation....the campus bookstore has used ones for 10% less....must do nice business

Some of these text books are very expensive, I've had to buy a bunch for my wife (she gets her masters this fall.)

eCampus.com I've used several times, they screwed up one order but made things right. I usually search in Bookfinder.com they'll help you find the lowest prices.

Hi there,

How about half.com (www.half.com)? I know that they sell text books, not sure what kind though. It doesn't hurt to see if they have any available.
