I am thinking about running a bunch of comics on a 5 day auction to get some quick cash to pay a huge bill that came up and was wondering if anyone has done a 5 day auction that didn't include a weekend and were they successful?
Thanks for the help all!

Why would you want to run 5 day auctions? Don't you want weekend bidders? I have never tried 5 day so am wondering why.

I have done a couple of five day sales and they did very well in my opinion. If the person is out there looking for it, the day it ends or starts doesn't matter.

I do a lot of five day auctions that end on weekdays and find it better than weekends. Not only are there less listings during the week, but you also get the bidders who don't own a computer but use one at work, and they only have time to search for closing auctions.
It vary's from month to month and year to year though so you have to keep a pulse on the changes.

Thanks for the responses. I enjoy 5 day auctions and do very well with them. From a turn around stand point it is just a bit faster. I usually post them on Tuesday or Wednesday to end on Sunday or Monday. But these I am trying to decide if I should start them tonight or tomorrow. I figure with the 40% + that pay with paypal within 24 hours of the auction close that it will get the money to me faster to pay a big bill that is coming due. I know 2 days seems silly but it always helps.

Do you suppose those companies whose employees (who don't own home computers) know their workers are spending "company time" bidding on eBay? With the computer "spy technology" out there, I'd be really uncomfortable with that. Just a thought...
