This has become a several-times-daily occurrence. Some winning bidder writes and tells me he needs the invoice to go to some email address different than the one he has registered with eBay.
We won't do this, for two excellent reasons.
First, it could be someone other than the actual winning bidder hoping to "steal" the item. (Like the runnerup bidder.) This has actually happened to us in the past.
Second, all our automated email notifications get the bidder's address *directly* from eBay.
I always advise these people that they have to change their address with eBay, even if they're only going to be at another address for a week or so. I am told that it is "too hard" or that "eBay won't do it". I'm pretty sure these are both lies.
It just seems weird, though, that we're getting so many of these. Is it our volume? We have just under 500 auctions running right now.

No wonder your name is fluffy the wonder cat. You must be fluffy to have all those going at one time. I am tired just reading it. Who WBN do you use?

Libra63: The real Fluffy lives on our front porch and deigns to accept sashimi (shiro maguro is a favorite) from us occasionally. In a pinch, she won't turn her nose up at canned tuna.
My partner wrote a program that does the winning bidder notifications. He keeps asking when we're going to be at the 500 auctions per day level, since the computer is getting too much rest only sending out 500 per week.

Fluffy.....do all auctions sell or do you relist the same type product ...I wish we could have a 100% sell through rate...just doesn't for us...We used to run 1200 auctions weekly with some relists..but now have opted for a more select number of auctions to increase profitablity!!!!...Do you take pictures of all items?? Thanks for the information!!

500 auctions for me would equal 15 to 20 thousand profit and 2.5K profit from shipping...perhaps I should do that. must be low profit margins if you have to sell that many and you do not use auctionwatch to automatically send the Winning bidder notifications.

There is at least one picture of each item.
We don't know in advance what pieces we're getting and in what quantity. Image management is turning into a headache since I have thousands of pictures taken over the last three years. I would guess that about 30% of each shipment consists of items we have never seen before.
Our sellthrough is about 95%.
The temptation, since we do get about two-thirds repeat merchandise, is to just run those items over and over again, but our loyal customers want to see fresh items every day.
