Since we're talking about shipping supplies in another thread, I thought I would post a cautionary note about nu-era.com.
I ordered a dozen or so jewelry display pieces from them. The order was placed using their web page shopping cart, using my credit card. I was not advised at any time (even though I provided my email address) that any of the items were backordered or that the merchandise would NOT be shipped in one box.
Imagine my dawning surprise...horror...and finally, anger when the items started arriving IN INDIVIDUAL UPS SHIPMENTS! Yes, friends, I ended up paying double because of their shipping practices (which aren't documented anywhere).
I complained, loudly and repeatedly. It did no good. I tried chargebacks. Eventually the charges returned.
To add insult to injury, they wanted me to fill out a "Biz Rate" form. I believe that no human being ever read my comments.

Trying to press and chargeback against a merchant when you obviously got the packages and what you paid for is criminal.
Because your too slow to ask how much shipping is before slamming your credit card down is not an excuse to go back and steal from the seller.

That was uncalled for. fluffythewondercat was only trying to warn other users before they made the same mistake. Thanks fluffy for the warning.

Lots and lots of mail order companies do this as well. I finally quit ordering from all catalogs as a result.
It will state one shipping price for shipments ranging from xx dollars to xx dollars and then will ship in 3 or 4 shipments and charge the shipping for each. I have had this happen many many times. I'm not sure how to avoid it as they do not spell it out in their shipping cost page, but it can get very expensive.

This happened to me also but from a hardware supply co for my retail shop - I ordered 2000 pcs of saddle hardware to get their quantity price break - they sent it to me over two months in 6 seperate ups shipments - It all would have fit into a large priority box. The worst part was that since they shipped it in small lots they charged me the per item price 10 times higher. I called the company and they refunded the shipping and the over charge. Ended in smiles.

It was not 'uncalled for'. If she cant be bothered to even ask how shipping will be handled or what it will cost she has absolutely no right to complain about it, and definatly has no right to try and steal the money back from the seller.

when the order was placed on the website, did you get a total including shipping??
if the multiple shipments total do not add up to equal the total on your original order, the buyer has a right to complain.
many websites use drop shipping,a smart game of not holding inventory but when it involves multiple drop shippers,it can be a problem.
